We have a very friendly class. You will learn the form/routine at your own pace. You will learn each posture's name, its Martial Art background, and what it can be used for. You will learn how to shift your weight and breathing technique for each posture. Later you will refine your play. (You see, we use the word "play" more in our class since Tai Chi is a form of art.) No, you will not learn from an assistant or a substitute teacher. And don't worry if you go on vacation or miss a class; you can pick up where you left off. The class is an on-going activity and there is no start or end date.

I do not care for a silk Tai Chi uniform. It will not help you to understand your postures or bring you to the meditative state. Sure it will generate some "Wows" one day if you show your skills in the Mall. Just wear something comfortable to class. There is no equipment needed to start. Later you will need a sword or a cane, or a baton -- if you are interested in those forms.

There are no colored belts to divide people into different levels in our class. There are no tests! You are the only one who can know what you can do and who can receive the benefits. The class is designed to help you on:

  • Relaxation and balance
  • Health and self-healing
  • Philosophy and enlightenment
  • Self-awareness and self-discipline
Oh, and on a final note, I do not crown myself as a Master, or a Shi Fu. I don't care for those titles. I am just like you. Come and learn and also make some new friends.

Well, what are you waiting for? Come and join us!
